The ‘Making of…\u00a0 captures the background story, including how we coped with neither of the two stars being available to record their sessions at the same time!<\/p>

Also, neither had to learn their script, thanks to the use of\u00a0 voice recognition teleprompt software, which meant that they could focus more on the delivery of their lines.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

I\u2019ve always thought that real life is a rich<\/span><\/span> source of material for humour, and I\u2019ve<\/span><\/span> not been disappointed.<\/span><\/span>
Jo\u2019s character was based on a real<\/span><\/span> life Diplomat who met with Saddam<\/span><\/span> Hussein to discuss the border dispute<\/span><\/span> between Iraq and Kuwait in 1990. It<\/span><\/span> was later suggested that as a result of<\/span><\/span> her apparently indicating that America<\/span><\/span> wouldn\u2019t intervene, that she had inadvertently given<\/span><\/span> Saddam a \u2018green light\u2019 for his subsequent<\/span><\/span> invasion of Kuwait. April\u2019s role was re-imagined and<\/span><\/span> applied to the Falklands war.<\/span><\/span>
The document entitled \u2018Middle East<\/span><\/span> Information Centre \u2013 Telephone<\/span><\/span> Handbook\u2019, subtitled \u2018How to Lie<\/span><\/span> Convincingly\u2019 was released it as part<\/span><\/span> of the State National Archive in 2021.<\/span><\/span>
Apparently it had been created at the<\/span><\/span> time of the First Gulf War by anonymous<\/span><\/span> department of Foreign Affairs officials,<\/span><\/span> and I couldn\u2019t resist using it in my video.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The touch at the end probably indicates that April lives on in foreign offices around the world today.
