The choice of criteria was to add sound to a silent movie of your choice or make a film using Green Screen either as a filming group or an individual. Five films were submitted:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-22379 size-medium\" Screen to film a car share journey with Marcus playing the part of both the driver and passenger,<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> this was followed by<img a comedy adventure story using Green Screen by the \u2018Pathfinders\u2019 filming group and John Hawthorne who created a Christmas Family journey to see Father Christmas.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">The \u2019Pioneers\u2019 filming group created another Green Screen movie called\u00a0\u2018Night at the Gallery\u2019 in which a girl played by Sofia Bagheri came to life when an attempt was made to steal the painting she featured in.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-22369 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/surreyborder.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Still0101_00005-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" called \u2018The Variety Performance\u2019 which featured an old time music hall theme, t<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">his was followed by \u2018The Making of Variety Challenge\u2019 by the Oddbods.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-22503 alignright\" style=\"font-size: medium\" vintage silent black and white film originally made in 1903 called \u2018The End of the Line\u2019<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0it featured a train robbery which he edited, added a soundtrack and also sound effects to.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Due to the many entries for the December Film Competition last month not all of the films could be shown so the remaining entries were shown after the coffee break.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone railway he visited in Tres Cruces via Boliva, \u2018Borovets with Pauline and David\u2018 featured a picturesque skiing holiday, \u2018Murder in U Paesolu\u2019 by John Hawthorne was a tongue in cheek Italy followed by \u2018Ug the Pottery Caveman\u2019 an early days animation on how it all began by Dave Skertchly ,\u2019Hinton Ampner\u2019 by Marcus Henning a look around this wonderful National Trust property, \u2018Holiday Memories\u2019 by Dave Skertchly a look at a memorable Beer Festival and Skiing holiday in Austria and the final film by Brian O\u2019Connell called \u2018Guildford Reform Video, We are not Alone\u2019 a political themed film set to music and song.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><br \/>The next meeting will be on Friday February 6th when the
