A film that tells how much is lost when people die. Its often too late that others think to ask about their life experiences.<\/p>

It chronicles the journey of three colleagues capturing their histories and results in the creation of their live streaming ‘Personal History Channel’.<\/p>

The film was entered into the ‘Albany’ Competition the following year, where it won the ‘Best Sound’ award.<\/p>

We also created a behind the scenes video showing clips from the rehearsal\u00a0 sessions, and highlighting the fun we had making it.<\/p>

'The Cards of Destiny was inspired by a chance meeting at the Chelsea Flower Show.<\/p>

In 2019, the Flower Show displayed a garden memorial dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings. It reflected the memories and experiences of one of its 'ordinary' veterans \u2013 Billy Pendell - who was just one of the 150,000 allied troops who were involved on the day<\/p>

Quite by chance, I met Billy\u2019s cousin there and we got chatting. He told me how the memorial was based on an interview that Billy had done the previous year. Sadly Billy had died in December, aged 97, so was not able to see the memorial completed.<\/p>

The lesson is that everyone, no matter how ordinary, has a story to tell. The film reflects that perspective.
